The download process will copy a setup program, sdzip.exe, to your diskdrive. When this file is opened the necessary files to run SleepDiary will be installed on your system. To perform the installation process you may use the Run dialog by clicking the Start button, clicking Run, browsing to where sdzip.exe is located on your disk, open it, and click ok.

What is your Operating System? Win 95 Win 98 Win Me Win NT Win 2000 Win XP

XP Users you will need to do the following:
1) Download and Install Microsoft's Jet 4.0 SP3 components which are not included with XP. This will enable the SleepDiary database to work properly.
2) Change your monitor's display characteristics to Window's classic. Do this by navigating to your Control Panel select Display - Appearance and change "Windows and buttons" to "Windows Classic style" and "color scheme" to "Windows Classic". This will insure that SleepDiary's Forms and Graphics work properly.

Do you need to upgrade MDAC or DCOM?
To determine which version of MDAC you have installed on your computer, Microsoft provides Component Checker. You may wish to visit Microsoft's UDAC website to learn more about MDAC and Component Checker. If SleepDiary won't run following installation, you may have to upgrade your system using the table below. Also, you may navigate to Start/Settings/Control Panel/ODBC/Drivers to determine if you have 4.0 (.mdb) drivers installed. BE AWARE that the MDAC upgrade may impact database software on your computer. However, most software you download today will require a current MDAC version.

Download Component Checker to determine which version of MDAC and (.mdb) drivers you have installed. You may need to upgrade. MDAC versions 2.6 and 2.7 don't support the Jet database, and will require installing the Jet 4.0 service pack from Microsoft

Windows 2000 system files are protected and do not allow update by SleepDiary's installation software. If you encounter SleepDiary installation problems you may need to install Windows 2000 Service Pack 2. See PRB:(Q279764) from Microsoft Product Support for an example of this problem.
